Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Surfaces & Space handles when you use this website or get in touch, and why. It is written to match what the website actually does.
Who we are
Surfaces & Space is Richie's interiors business, working across Mid Essex. For any question about this policy or your information, please send a message through the contact page, call 07516 679958 or WhatsApp Richie.
Information you send us
The message form on the contact page asks for:
- your name
- an email address or a phone number, whichever you choose to give
- your postcode, if you want to add it
- the type of project and roughly when, if you want to say
- your message
When the contact form is available, the details you submit, and the time you sent them, are used to send your enquiry securely to Surfaces & Space so Richie can respond. If you WhatsApp or call instead, Richie receives whatever you choose to share, such as photos of the room, rough sizes and what you would like to change.
How it is used
Your information is used to reply to your enquiry, to discuss possible work with you and, if you go ahead, to plan and carry out that work. It is kept only as long as it is needed for your enquiry or any work that follows.
Surfaces & Space does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Spam and abuse protection
The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check provided by Cloudflare. It looks at technical information from your browser and connection, such as your IP address, to tell people from automated bots. The result is checked by the website before a message is sent. Cloudflare handles this information under its own privacy policy.
The website also limits how many messages can be sent from one connection in a short time, to prevent abuse.
Website logs and security
Like almost every website, the server keeps technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and any errors, to keep the site secure and working properly. These are not used to build a profile of you.
Service providers
Running the website relies on a small number of necessary providers, for example for website hosting, security and delivering the contact-form email. They process information only as needed to provide those services.
WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp with a short message already typed. Messages you send are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy as well as by Richie.
Cookies
The website only uses cookies needed for it to work and stay secure. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information Surfaces & Space holds about you, or object to how it is used, using the contact details above. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
